While it's noble of you to sacrifice so much for someone else,you might want to bring in a third person,someone whom you can trust like a teacher or counsellor,to help.This way,you can get a break from deciding if you should carry on helping your friend or not and your friend can get the advice and support s/he needs at the same time.Your friend may not like the idea,so you need to let her/him know how all this makes you feel and that having someone else to help her/him isn't really a bad thing and that you are doing this because you care for her/him as friend.
that sounds like an good idea, i will think about using that idea,
